Overview

This project focused on designing a formal kitchen garden composed of multiple raised beds arranged with clarity and intention. The goal was to create a growing space that feels organized and visually balanced while remaining practical and easy to use throughout the season.

The layout emphasizes clean lines and consistent spacing, supporting both productivity and a calm, ordered aesthetic.

Scope of Work

  • Site evaluation and layout planning

  • Design of a multi-bed kitchen garden system

  • Spacing and alignment of raised beds for access and circulation

  • Material selection to support durability and consistency

  • Installation coordinated to allow flexibility in planting over time

Design Considerations

Key considerations included how the garden would be used day to day, ease of access between beds, sun exposure, and long-term maintenance. Repetition was used intentionally to simplify movement through the space and maintain visual cohesion as plantings change.

The design allows the garden to evolve seasonally without losing its sense of order or function.

Outcome

The completed garden provides a structured, visually cohesive framework for food production that is both practical and enjoyable to use. The space remains adaptable over time while retaining a clear and intentional design.
